DIY Necklace Rack

Necklaces are the only jewelry I wear on a fairly regular basis (besides my wedding ring) so I have a lot of necklaces.  My small jewelry box was beginning to overflow with necklaces and they would all get tangled every time I tried to take one out.  I needed something new...

I found this inspiration on Pinterest:

It is from this bird can sing blog.  She used a towel bar and shower curtain hooks to create her necklace rack.

Here is my necklace rack:

I bought the rod and hooks at Walmart.  I used a 24-48 inch expandable curtain rod that cost $2.97 and flower pot hanging hooks that cost $.97 for a pack of 4, I got six packs.  So the cost was $8.79 before tax.  (I probably could have found cheaper S-hooks at a home improvement store).  I had to use pliers to open up the top part of the hooks so they could fit on the rod.

  1. Hi Sarah, it looks like I am your first follower. Congratulations on beginning to blog. You will love it. I'm from the top end of Michigan, actually across the International Bridge. I saw this necklace holder on the blog you mentioned - I might even have left a comment. I have recently found your blog and am now following you, and will visit often. Please stop by my blog and perhaps you would like to follow me also. Have a wonderful day. Hugs, Chris
